About Us:

125 Gregory St. was originally built in 1875 to replace several smaller storefronts. It functioned as Jenkins McKay Hardware for the next 100 years. The upper level was home to lodge meetings, the annual fireman's ball, and one of Black Hawk's few murders - a domestic dispute in 1900. In 1985, the building was opened as Ed and Shirley's Grocery. In 1991, Ed and Shirley Smith opened The Wild Card Casino, the first legal Casino in Black Hawk. In 2011, The Sasquatch Casino opened its doors. Since then, it has been home to Harry the Sasquatch, a Life-sized stuffed sasquatch that was run down by a car in 2010. The Sasquatch Casino has something for everyone with over 140 slot machines, 99 cent meals, Black Hawk's only arcade for all ages, and exciting new promotions coming all the time!
